ABOUT ME

Elise Sheridan

Hello! My name is Elise and I’m a designer… of some sort. I say this because at different times in my life I worked in different areas of design – architecture, interior design and fashion development. Then I stopped. I married, bought a house and had two wonderful girls, dedicating most of my time and energy to getting our family and home off to a good start. After a few years, I ventured out to work at Suite Pieces, a furniture and diy decor boutique where my responsibilities included styling and photographing the shop and assisting customers with decorating decisions. From there I started a vintage and found home decor shop at The Shops at Suite Pieces, specializing in authentic and affordable pieces with a farmhouse cottage feel. Learn more about the shop here.

MY BACKGROUND

I earned Bachelor degrees in architecture and fine art from the esteemed Rhode Island School of Design (casually known as RISD) where I honed my abilities to design and plan, think outside the box and problem solve creatively. Upon graduating, I worked in the field of architecture. After a while, I felt the need to design in a more hands-on way at a smaller scale, so I switched to fashion design and worked in development and production at Anne KIein and Michael Kors. When my husband and I decided to start a family, I chose to concentrate my energies on our children and the home. During this time I designed and oversaw several renovations on our house. Each experience has shaped the next and made me into the well-rounded designer and stylist I am today.
